Dan Debruin is from Upstate New York and breeds Affenpinschers. We are a family that loves affenpinschers. We are not a kennel but have about 8-10 affens living with us at any given time. We invite anyone who is interested in one of our puppies or dogs to visit us and get to know our dogs and our family. We selectively breed primarily to improve the breed and to guarantee the ongoing health and soundness of the breed. We show in conformation, rally, obedience and sometimes agility. Our philosophy of breeding includes the following ideals: 1. We only breed a female after she has achieved her championship and is at least two years of age. 2. If we choose to breed a female, we will breed her at the most four times before retiring her. 3. We will not breed any dog that exhibits any congenital defects, even if they are a finished champion. 4. We plan our breedings very selectively to ensure the best possible outcomes adding specific dogs to our breeding to achieve consistent results. Because we retire our show and breeding dogs at about three or four years of age, we occasionally have them available for very select homes as pets. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
